The Indonesia U-20 national team secured another victory in their second match of Group F in the 2025 AFC U-20 Asian Cup Qualifiers, facing Timor Leste U-20 with a final score of 3-1. In the early minutes of the match, the Indonesian team immediately showcased their dominance by constantly attacking Timor Leste's defense.
In the 13th minute, Indonesia managed to break through Timor Leste's goal. Capitalizing on a miscommunication between the goalkeeper and defender, Jens Raven intercepted the ball and slotted it into Timor Leste’s net. Shortly after, Timor Leste’s goal was breached once again. This time, Toni Firmansyah made a move from the right side and delivered a cross, which was skillfully finished by Riski Afrisal, resulting in a goal. Indonesia led 2-0 over Timor Leste.
At the start of the second half, the match became quite intense. Although the Indonesia U-20 national team appeared more dangerous, Timor Leste was able to resist Indonesia's attacks. In the 65th minute, Timor Leste managed to narrow the score to 1-2. Luis Figo successfully converted Ricardo Rorinho's perfect pass into a goal against Indonesia. That goal shifted the dynamics of the match. Timor Leste grew more confident in attacking, while Indonesia continued to put up a fight.
However, in the 77th minute, Indonesia extended their lead to 3-1 after Dony Tri Pamungkas' pass was successfully converted into a goal by Muhammad Ragil. The game ended with the Garuda Indonesia team securing a 3-1 victory.
